Prague’s Pařížská Street shops are thriving, Louis Vuitton generated sales in excess of CZK 0.5bn in 2011

Louis Vuitton Česká (LV Czech) has been operating its one and only shop in Pařížská Street (Prague), but it has certainly been worth its while. Last year’s sales weighed in at an impressive CZK 489m. Its turnover was CZK 501m, for a net profit of CZK 137m. Other Pařížská Street shops have been prospering, too, as the street is the most prestigious shopping location in the whole region. Their year-to-year growth is well into double percentage figures. Their business has been driven mainly by Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and local clientele.

Louis Vuitton Česká’s parent company is Louis Vuitton Malletier, an affiliate of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Over the last five years, its single Prague shop has contributed nearly CZK 450m to the Group’s profit through dividends.

In Prague, Louis Vuitton sells handbags, travel and other bags, shoes, spectacles, scarves, watches, belts, and other fashion accessories.
